SaaS mode: sell GoHighLevel under your own brand
The agency endgame: package GHL as your own software product with plans, self-serve signup, and automated rebilling, turning your agency into a software company with recurring revenue.
- 1
Confirm the plan and the model
SaaS mode requires the top-tier agency plan. Decide your product tiers first: what features, what price points, what your market comparison is. Three tiers with a clear middle default is the standard play.
- 2
Configure the plans
Agency view, then SaaS Configurator: create the plans, select which features each tier unlocks, set prices, and connect your Stripe account for billing. Trial days lower the signup barrier; 14 is the common default.
- 3
Set up rebilling margins
Enable rebilling for usage costs (SMS, email, phone numbers, AI features) with your markup applied. This is the quiet profit center: usage revenue compounds as clients grow.
- 4
Build the signup funnel
A pricing page with the three tiers feeding the SaaS checkout. On payment, the sub-account creates itself from your chosen snapshot, credentials go out automatically, and onboarding starts without you.
- 5
Attach the onboarding machine
The snapshot that loads on signup IS your product experience. Pair it with an onboarding workflow (welcome, setup checklist, booking link for a kickoff) so day one feels like software, not an empty CRM.
- 6
Define the support surface
Decide what support each tier gets and route it: a shared inbox, the community, or office hours. Software margins die when every customer gets agency-level hand-holding by default.
- 7
Watch the unit economics
Monthly: signups, trial conversion, churn, usage margin per account. SaaS mode is a business, not a feature; run it on numbers from month one.
Do it with Claude
Claude models your tier pricing against the market, drafts the pricing page and onboarding copy, and reads signup and churn patterns once you are live. Pair this SOP with the Trial Countdown workflow prompt to convert trials automatically.
Watch out for
- Launching tiers before the snapshot experience is genuinely self-serve, then drowning in support.
- Skipping rebilling setup and eating every client’s usage costs at scale.
