One login for everything: the client portal
Give clients a single branded login for their courses, community, invoices, and appointments, replacing "what is the link again" with one URL.
- 1
Enable and brand it
Sites, then Client Portal: turn it on, apply logo and colors, and set the portal domain (a subdomain like portal.yourbrand.com; see the custom domain SOP).
- 2
Choose what appears
Portal surfaces what the account uses: memberships and courses, community, appointments, invoices, and files where enabled. Turn off empty sections; a bare tab erodes trust.
- 3
Set up the sign-in experience
Magic-link email login keeps friction low. Test the full flow yourself from an incognito window on a phone.
- 4
Introduce it properly
One announcement with the Portal Welcome copy (prompt in the library): here is your one link, here is what lives there, bookmark it. Then reference the portal consistently in every message footer.
- 5
Route support through it
Invoices and booking live in the portal; when clients ask, the answer is the portal link. Consistency is what builds the habit.
Do it with Claude
Claude drafts the rollout announcement and the footer boilerplate, and can answer "which clients have never logged in" style questions where activity is visible.
Watch out for
- Announcing the portal once and continuing to send scattered links forever.
- A portal with three empty tabs, teaching clients not to bother returning.
